Today we were told by the Zoo Negara management that we can pull out and be refunded as well which is really a surprise and a relief to us as well since in most of the events , refunding is always not possible . The reasons being that the organizer had already spent out their resources to fund the event.
We would like to thank the Zoo Negara management and we wish the Visit Zoo Negara Year 2009 Carnival a success both to the management as well as to the rest of the carnival participant.
On the zoo development itself, I personally anticipated a family visit next year 2009 when the PANDA bear will be coming one of its resident. The panda , a couple, won't be alone themselves as they will be accompanied by a group of specialist all the way from China.
On the other hand we would like to wish one nice officer from the zoo management , En. Badrul a speedy recovery from a dengue fever which had affected the resident of Kemensah around the zoo area. Its really a surprise as well since we just met him healthy and strong a couple of weeks ago.
OK, may the Zoo Negara always flourish in our heart and be there for our future progeny to learn about the life itself.

Miscommunications at Karnival Zoo Negara 2009 Pameran & Jualan
Yesterday, we encountered one of the most challenging experience operating a sales booth. I guess the problem was more on the miscommunications between the Zoo Negara Staff as well as with the booth participants. At the very morning some of the participants were denied to operate the booth the way they always did. One the participants in front of us , a food caterer from Perak were informed at the very last minute that they cannot cook inside the zoo. In the end they had to move out with all the utensils at the wee hour of 3.00 am. Just imagine the losses they had to bear.
Another participant from KOKOMAS was denied to operate his coco drink dispenser which he needed badly to provide sample to the public.
Our neighbour, Mr. TEMPE (a nice frozen fast food entepreneur) even worst, they were denied to do deep fried cooking late in the afternoon. They had no choice but to pack up and demand refund. They moved out in the evening but the refund remains as a puzzle.
In our case, we were told earlier that we can sell box/can drinks besides book but were denied in the afternoon. Unfortunately books almost did not sell at all on this first day therefore we need a backup. We talked to Zoo Negara to pull out from this carnival but were told refund is not possible to any participants. Today we will negotiate something with the zoo officer.
The problem with the carnival was mainly due to the failure of the organizer to pull the crowd to the carnival location. The whole day yesterday , the crowd can be counted with fingers, just a round two three hundred as compared to the thousands who actually entered the zoo.
Secondly the canopy were to scattered and we were located at the very back near the bear habitat under a big tree which is so gloomy especially with the red color tarpaulin roof makes reading difficult.
We were charged RM 1200 for half of the canopy. It is a 9 days event and the main event, the launching will only be on the 1st of January 09. It will be officiated by a Selangor royal dignitary.
Well we'll look and see what we got for today.
